Jefferson College and COMTREA will once again co-host “Take Back the Night” on Thursday, April 26, beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the Field House on the Hillsboro campus in conjunction with April’s designation as Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM). This is the seventh year for the community awareness event.
In case of inclement weather, the event will be moved inside the Field House.
The Jefferson College Cultural Events and Outreach Committee will host TEDxJeffersonCollege on Thursday, April 19, in the Fine Arts Theatre on the Hillsboro campus using the theme “The Science of Art and the Art of Science.” Doors will open at 6 p.m. with videos and refreshments and the program will begin at 7 p.m.
Recently compiled statistics submitted to the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) indicate that 95 percent of Jefferson College Career and Technical Education graduates were successfully employed or chose to continue their education within six months after graduating last May.
Of the 326 Jefferson College graduates surveyed, 89.3 percent found employment and 5.5 percent continued their education beyond the two-year level.

Jefferson College is seeking comments from the public about its Bi-Level Nursing program in preparation for a site visit by the Missouri State Board of Nursing (MSBN) on April 19-20, 2018 and accreditation from the Commission on Nursing Education Accreditation (CNEA).
The MSBN team will review the Jefferson College Bi-Level Nursing program’s ongoing ability to meet the Minimum Standards for Professional Nursing Education.
