Jefferson College Paramedic Program Graduates Prepared to Meet Needs of Community

A group of 13 students from across the region recently graduated from the Jefferson College Paramedic program as the class of 2018. Each graduate is eligible to take the National Registry Licensure Test to become a licensed paramedic in the State of Missouri or work in most states.

As one of many educational experiences for junior high and high school students in the region, Jefferson College recently hosted the annual Math Contest to provide students in grades 7-12 the opportunity to demonstrate their mathematics skills and compete for medals and trophies.

Individuals were awarded medals for their achievement and winning teams received trophies.

Jefferson College Assistant Baseball Coach Josh Bunselmeyer has been named Interim Head Coach of the program following the recent resignation of Pat Evers, who accepted the head coaching position at Maryville University.

A national search for Jefferson College’s next head baseball coach has been announced, as the position description and qualifications will soon be posted on the Jefferson College website at

Elaine Gannon Selected as Jefferson College 2018 Alumnus of the Year

The Jefferson College Faculty Senate recently selected State Representative Elaine Gannon of DeSoto as Jefferson College’s 2018 Alumnus of the Year. She was recognized during the College’s annual Honors Recognition Ceremony and also during the 53rd annual commencement ceremonies held on May 19.
